Be a part of First Day Walk - New Year's Day
BSA Troop 280 is holding its third annual First Day Walk for Open Space on New Year's Day, 2022. The walk will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., so join whenever convenient for you.
The 2.5-mile walk starts and finishes at the Loantaka Way parking lot in Chatham ("195-215 Loantaka Way, Madison" on Google Maps), the entrance to Loantaka Brook Reservation.
Pets are welcome!
Your $10 contribution will fund BSA outdoor stewardship projects in our immediate local area, and each contributor receives a handsome a commemorative pin. In the past year, Scouts used First Day Walk funds to plant native trees on public land, build boardwalks over muddy sections of three trails, purchase trail-markers for a brand new trail, and more!

First Day Walk is a community service project of BSA Troop 280, a troop of 40 registered girls based in Chatham and serving surrounding towns.
