A visit to Baraboo Wisconsin is a visit that must include the Wisconsin Dells. Located just ten miles south of the Wisconsin Dells, Baraboo Wisconsin is a perfect place to lodge while visiting the Dells. However, Baraboo Wisconsin has charms of its own. Baraboo Wisconsin and the Dells are located in south central Wisconsin, and forty miles north of the capital city of Madison. This entire area is a very popular destination for tourists. Devil's Lake State Park is also here, and the city of Baraboo Wisconsin is home to the Circus World Museum which has over 200 circus wagons preserved and on display. Baraboo Wisconsin also has other unique places to see, such as Dr. Evermore's Scrap Metal Park. It contains everything made out of scrap metal including creatures and odd looking machines. There is also something called the Foreverton Machine which was created from over 300 tons of scrap metal. This unusual exhibit is worth seeing while visiting Baraboo Wisconsin. Nature has been kind to the Baraboo Wisconsin area. In addition to Devil's Lake, there is also Mirror Lake State Park to enjoy. Both parks offer camping hunting, hiking, fishing, bike trails, swimming, climbing and a lot more. There are also boat rentals and lots of shoreline to enjoy the beaches. A close ride in the car to Baraboo Wisconsin, is Spring Green, the home of the House on the Rock. This place is a bizarre collection of unbelievable music machines, the world's largest carousel, the infinity room that extends out over a cliff and unbelievably stays up, and many more oddities.
